Reverse Compound Crossbow

As complicated as possible.

This crazy contraption combines several unusual features that I have seen in other bow and crossbow designs.

  • It's a compound bow.
I have long been excited about compound bows, they seem to take the positive traits of power, accuracy, stability and mobility of other design of bow, at the expense of mechanical complexity. Sounds like a fun project.

  • It's a reverse bow.
The limbs face forward, not backwards. Madness.

  • It has a drop-away rest.
There is a small mechanism that holds the bolt up before firing, then just as the trigger is pulled it drops away.

  • It has integrated springs
The trigger mechanisms and their springs are joined to form one part.

  • Pistol crossbow Its quite small and light.

  • Detachable quiver, and optic mount
A small quiver may be added or removed which holds 4 bolts, each bolt is held in place with a small printed leaf spring.

  • Adjustable power.
The tension of the limbs may be altered by adjusting he screws near the pivot point.
